Ryan currently serves as a Program Manager for Sports Medicine Research with Texas Health Physicians Group and Allen Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Ryan is a graduate of James Madison University’s Athletic Training Program, the University of Georgia's Exercise Science Program, and received his PhD in Rehabilitation Science from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Prior to joining Dr. Christoforetti's practice he served as a clinical athletic trainer at the high school, collegiate, and professional level. Most recently he spent 5 years as an Athletic Trainer with the University of Georgia football team.
Ryan began working with Dr. Christoforetti in August 2015 while specializing in clinical and surgical outcomes research with a specific interest in non-arthritic hip pain and hip arthroscopy.
He has published several research articles and book chapters on the topics of emergency medicine and athletic training, musculoskeletal anatomy, functional performance testing, rehabilitation interventions, and clinical and surgical outcomes.
For his clinical research efforts he was awarded the Physiotherapy Award for Excellence in Clinical Research at the 2019 International Society for Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA) Annual Meeting in Madrid, Spain.
